In 2017, we adopted the Zero Tolerance for Harassment Declaration, stating that "the MISUMI Group will not tolerate any form of harassment."
・Zero Tolerance for Harassment Declaration (Excerpt)
Harassment in the workplace is a socially unacceptable act that unjustly undermines the dignity of workers as individuals. It also impedes the full and effective utilization of employees’ capabilities, disrupts workplace order and the execution of business operations, and may negatively affect the company’s social reputation. Negative remarks or behavior related to pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare leave may constitute causes or contributing factors to harassment concerning pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare leave. Likewise, remarks or behavior based on gender role stereotypes may constitute causes or contributing factors to sexual harassment.
Such conduct is strictly prohibited.
・Target: Zero harassment cases
—The deadline is by the end of March 2026, and we will continue to aim for zero cases every fiscal year thereafter.
—The scope covers all workers employed in the MISUMI Group (including globally) .
—The Human Resources Department of MISUMI Group Inc. oversees this and monitors the achievement status of the target.
Initiatives Toward Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Initiatives Toward Zero Tolerance for Harassment
MISUMI actively promotes initiatives aimed at achieving Harassment Zero, with a focus on:
• Regular compliance training for all employees globally
• A comprehensive revision of the Corporate Code of Conduct and Employee Code of Conduct, followed by global deployment
• The enhancement of internal reporting systems and awareness raising across the Group worldwide
Through these efforts, the number of harassment cases has shown a declining trend in recent years, reinforcing MISUMI’s commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
While we have not yet achieved “Harassment Zero,” the MISUMI Group recognizes this gap and will further strengthen education, preventive measures, and response initiatives aimed at the complete eradication of harassment. At the same time, to ensure that harassment is never concealed or overlooked, we will maintain continuous and transparent disclosure of our internal reporting systems and consultation channels, including clear guidance on how employees can raise concerns. Through these efforts, we seek to foster an environment in which issues can be identified early and addressed appropriately.
