Now Offers Hardening for CNC Milling

As of May 12, 2025, meviy, an AI-powered parts procurement platform by MISUMI Group Inc., is now offering hardening treatment for CNC milling. With this service expansion, customers can now procure parts treated with immersion quenching and vacuum quenching, enabling the production of components such as workpiece receivers and support blocks that require wear resistance and hardness.

In industrial machinery, heat treatment is often applied to metal parts to enhance their strength and durability. However, procuring heat-treated parts typically involves creating paper-based drawings, securing heat treatment processes, and preparing for each specific shape—resulting in long and unstable lead times, often around one month. Due to strong customer demand for hardening service on meviy, we had already introduced hardening for CNC turning*1. Now, following that success, we have extended our offering to CNC milling, offering both immersion quenching*2 and vacuum quenching*3.
By optimizing the system originally developed for CNC turned parts to suit CNC milled parts, and by standardizing and organizing the production system, meviy has achieved shipping as little as 9 days from order. This enables customers to quickly procure parts that were previously unavailable on meviy, contributing to improve productivity.
