Three months after its launch in July 2024, over 10,000 companies have used the “Economy Shipping service”, which has been popular for some time. To mark the occasion, we have made the 30% discount (the maximum discount rate) available even for a single item order, which was previously available only for large orders. Customers can now enjoy this service in a wider range of situations.
We will continue to provide time value to our global customers in the IA (Industrial Automation) industry through expanding our services and contribute to enhancing their productivity.

With rising labor costs and prices, cost reduction has become a serious issue in the Industrial Automation (IA) industry and companies are looking for ways to reduce the procurement costs of machine parts. In response to these customer needs, we have been offering the “Economy Shipping service”, which provides a maximum discount of 30% when the delivery date is selected as 10 days or more.
The “Economy Shipping service” was initially launched in July 2022^*1 on “meviy”, which is an AI-based parts procurement platform that enables customers to obtain an instant quote and order custom machined parts using AI. Subsequently, in response to increasing customer demand, the range of items covered was significantly expanded in July 2024 to include mechanical parts on MISUMI's e-commerce website^*2. The current range of items covered by the “Economy Shipping service” is over 10,000, and it will continue to expand.
In addition, from October 15, 2024, the maximum discount rate of 30% is applied to single item orders. This allows customers to use the service in a wider variety of situations and further reduce procurement costs.
MISUMI's e-commerce website is rolling out a series of services to meet the diverse needs of customers. In March 2024, the full-scale launch of “Economy Series” products^*3 in Japan began, achieving sufficient quality and cost reduction at the same time. In April of the same year, we introduced D-JIT^*4, which enables purchases to be made from the real-time inventories of over 400 suppliers worldwide, to meet the demand for medium to large volume orders.
MISUMI will continue to respond to customers' requests for delivery times and prices that match their production schedules, and will work to further develop the IA industry.
 

With the “Economy Shipping service”, customers can enjoy discounts by simply extending the delivery time of parts they normally purchase by 10 days or more. They can reduce costs without the hassle of changing products or checking quality, which has been particularly well received.

In addition to parts related to aluminum frames in general, shafts, support pillars, washers, collars, socket head cap screws and locating pins, from October, linear guides and linear bushings were added to the list. The list of eligible items will continue to expand.
