Now offers material service in its CNC milling service

meviy, the AI platform for parts procurement offered by MISUMI Group Inc., is now offering “material service” in its CNC milling service. This new feature, available as of September 7, allows customers to quickly and easily obtain the material service they need in the sizes they need, reducing procurement costs and lead times.

meviy is expanding its product variations to better serve the diverse needs of our customers. This time, the idea stemmed from a certain number of customer requests for "material service without holes or pockets," as identified in previous quote requests. In urgent situations, customers often purchase only the material service and then process them in-house. However, this purchasing process requires significant man-hours due to its time-consuming nature with unstable delivery times. In response to numerous customer requests for "easy procurement of material service in a size suitable for in-house processing, via meviy," we are now providing "material service.
Prior to the launch of this service, we conducted a review of the material service procurement process. As a result, we were able to achieve cost reductions and offer customers the option of "shipment as early as the next day (Day 1)."  In addition, the new service includes corner cutting and circumferential chamfering.
The new service allows customers to obtain quotes and procure material service along with the mechanical parts to be machined through meviy, a one-stop shop.  This achieves stable sourcing with short lead times, contributing to improved customer productivity.
