MISUMI, DAIKO XTECH, and Technoa Enter Business Partnership

– First API integration between production management systems and MISUMI's product database, enabling procurement DX and up to 2× productivity –

MISUMI Group Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Arata Shimizu; hereinafter "MISUMI") announced on June 30, 2026, that it has entered into a business partnership with DAIKO XTECH, Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Koichiro Matsuyama; hereinafter "DXT") and Technoa, Inc. (Head Office: Gifu City, Gifu; President: Koji Yamazaki; hereinafter "Technoa").
Under this partnership, MISUMI's database of over 30 million products will be integrated via API with the production management systems of DXT and Technoa. By enabling procurement digital transformation (DX) that enhances core production material management operations, the solution is expected to improve productivity by up to 2× compared with conventional processes.
This service has been realized through a three-way partnership formed by a first-of-its-kind consortium, bringing together an e-Commerce provider specializing in production materials and leading production management system providers. Together, the three companies aim to transform conventional procurement operations and establish a new industry standard.

Background of the Consortium

Background of the Consortium

・Strained Procurement Operations and the Limits of "Company-by-Company DX"
The procurement of production materials is an essential process in manufacturing. However, with a wide range of suppliers and items involved, tasks such as master data maintenance, operational design, and external data integration require a high level of technical expertise. This has become a significant barrier to DX, especially for small and mid-sized enterprises that are already struggling with labor and time shortages.
At the heart of this challenge is how production management systems have traditionally been used. These systems serve as the backbone of manufacturing operations—supporting production planning, inventory, and cost management, as well as the procurement of production materials such as machine parts and consumables. Yet, traditionally, their use has been confined to internal operations. As a result, external ordering still relies heavily on manual processes such as email and fax.
This has led to a substantial workload, including issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), collecting quotations, transcribing part numbers and quantities, and preparing purchase orders. Information is repeatedly checked and re-entered, creating a constant back-and-forth flow of data that has long been a source of inefficiency.

・Industry Leaders Join Forces to Achieve 2× Productivity
DXT and Technoa are leading providers of production management systems, with a combined installed base of approximately 4,700 companies in Japan. MISUMI, meanwhile, is one of Japan's foremost platforms for production materials, offering a database of more than 30 million products ranging from machine parts to consumables. Each of the three companies had long observed the persistent challenges customers face in production material procurement, which led them to come together across industry boundaries to transform conventional processes.
Through this initiative, the product database API offered via MISUMI's e-Commerce platform is directly connected to production management systems, enabling the automation of quotations, ordering, and delivery information retrieval. This significantly reduces the time required for procurement operations and is expected to deliver up to 2× the productivity of procurement departments. The time freed up by this transformation allows teams to focus more on higher-value, core business activities.

Key Features of the New Service

Key Features of the New Service

1. Significantly reduces workload across quotation, ordering, and receiving processes
Through seamless API integration between MISUMI's product database and the production management systems "rBOM" (DXT) and "TECHS-S NOA" (Technoa), users can directly access product data within their existing workflows—without switching to the MISUMI e-Commerce site. This enables faster, more efficient operations, including real-time checks of pricing, delivery lead times, and discontinued items.
2. Streamlines sorting and handling operations
With flexible packaging options available by production number or by unit, the service helps streamline downstream operations and improves efficiency across ordering, receiving, and on-site handling.
3. Enables smooth adoption without disrupting existing operations
This service is provided as a standard feature of both rBOM and TECHS-S NOA. Users of these systems can access the new functionality simply by updating to the latest version, without changing their existing workflows. A key advantage of this service is that it minimizes additional operational burden and complexity, enabling a smooth and seamless transition at the operational level.
