MISUMI Group Inc. (“MISUMI”; Head Office: Chiyoda ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Ryusei Ono) will launch its procurement transformation service “D JIT” in India on March 2, 2026, eliminating lead time adjustments and reducing quotation wait times to zero, even for high volume orders.
India’s e commerce market for manufacturing—still in its early stages—is expected to grow severalfold in the coming years. By connecting multiple suppliers and securing stable supply capacity, D JIT enables MISUMI to support India’s Monozukuri industry from the ground up.
MISUMI continues to expand the rollout of D JIT in regions where its products are offered. The service is already available across Asia (Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan), throughout Europe, and in the United States and Mexico, with more than 100,000 companies*1 having used the service to date. While MISUMI has long excelled in supplying small volume, high mix, short lead time orders, D JIT strengthens its ability to meet the growing demand for larger volume procurement in emerging sectors. In doing so, MISUMI helps customers eliminate the time consuming task of searching the market to secure the quantities they need in their Monozukuri processes.

Background of the Service Launch in India
Background of the Service Launch in India
India’s manufacturing sector is experiencing rapid growth, led by IT and services, with expanding markets in electronics, automotive, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. As a result, manufacturers that assemble production machinery and equipment are seeing rising demand for high volume procurement.
Meanwhile, the proportion of B2B online transactions in India remains low compared with Japan, the United States, and Europe due to the country’s strong tradition of direct negotiation in commercial dealings, and the B2B e commerce market is still in its early stages. However, according to think tank research,*2 the market is expected to grow to five times its 2022 size by 2030, and B2B e commerce—including MISUMI—continues to show strong expansion. Given India’s high price sensitivity, we also see significant potential for D JIT procurement of our Economy Series products.*3
MISUMI has traditionally excelled in supplying small to medium quantities of standard machine components used in machinery and production equipment. With D JIT, however, we can now support mid to large volume orders in the hundreds or thousands. Because D JIT connects more than 700 suppliers worldwide online, supplier inventory information is integrated and made visible—dramatically increasing the quantities that can be offered through MISUMI’s e Commerce site. This eliminates the need for procurement staff to search the market for suppliers with available stock and prevents situations where required quantities cannot be sourced through MISUMI’s e-Commerce site.

*3 The “Economy Series” is a product lineup developed to meet mid range demand by providing optimal quality at a low cost. It has been well received across Asia, and we continue to expand the lineup.

About D-JIT
About D-JIT
D-JIT is MISUMI’s digital transformation service for procurement, designed to eliminate waiting time for delivery adjustments and quotations on MISUMI’s e-Commerce site. Officially launched in Japan in April 2024, D-JIT combines real-time inventory data from over 700 global suppliers with MISUMI’s own production capacity. This integration significantly boosts supply capability, without changing the customer’s ordering process.
The virtual inventory value now totals JPY 800 billion, a 16-fold increase compared to previous levels*4. D-JIT is currently available not only in Japan but also in South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Europe, the U.S., and Mexico, with over 100,000 companies actively using the service.
D-JIT has been recognized for its innovation, receiving the Excellence Award at the Japan DX Awards 2025 (hosted by the Japan DX Awards Executive Committee) and the Runner-Up Grand Prize at the 42nd Logistics Awards (organized by the Japan Institute of Logistics Systems).

Shaping the Future of Monozukuri Through MISUMI’s "Digital MODEL Shift"
MISUMI Group has been transforming Monozukuri processes through digital technologies, including IT and AI.
In 2000, MISUMI pioneered the launch of an online ordering service in the industry, establishing a system that enables everything from parts selection to ordering to be completed entirely online. Since then, MISUMI has introduced a range of groundbreaking services—including "meviy," which uses AI to generate instant quotations based solely on 3D CAD data—bringing tangible innovation to productivity across the industrial sector.
With its "Digital MODEL Shift" as a core growth strategy, MISUMI now presents a new customer value proposition: RAKU-MISUMI, TOKU-MISUMI (Effortless engineering, greater savings with MISUMI). By driving digital transformation in design and procurement processes, MISUMI significantly enhances productivity at both design and manufacturing sites, while also reducing costs through optimized procurement services.
MISUMI is committed to relieving customers of routine tasks and empowering them to focus on creative, high-value work—transforming time into meaningful impact and driving sustainable growth together.
