CNC Milling Greatly Expands Size Range

As of 8 July 2024, meviy, the AI-based parts procurement platform of MISUMI Group Inc., has significantly expanded the range of sizes available in CNC milling. This allows parts of up to 1,000 mm in length to be automatically quoted, including base plates for large equipment and machines. MISUMI will continue to provide time value to our global customers in the IA (Industrial Automation) industry through expanding our services and contribute to enhancing their productivity.

To date, meviy has expanded the range of part sizes it can handle beyond one meter, up to 1,200 mm for sheet metal and 5,000 mm for CNC turning. Now, in response to many customer requests for further expansion, specifically to accommodate the base-plate* sized parts in CNC milling, we have upgraded the IT systems and strengthened the production structure. As a result of these improvements, meviy can now accommodate CNC milling parts of up to 1,000mm in length (previously 600mm) and 600mm in width (previously 400mm), in addition to auto-quoting for thicknesses up to 70mm. Furthermore, meviy can now handle high precision parts where the difficulty of machining increases with size. 
It is not common for manufacturers to be able to handle large, high-precision base plates, and delivery times are often unreliable. This service upgrade will enable customers to procure parts quickly and reliably.
