This program will offer selected student groups with vouchers of worth up to 100,000 yen for purchasing parts via meviy. In addition, it provides a variety of support services tailored to educational institutions, including a special lecture on meviy. MISUMI continues to contribute to the development of diverse human resources that will build the future of the manufacturing industry by addressing issues such as the shortage of young people in the manufacturing industry, the labor shortage due to the aging of the workforce, and the shortage of educational personnel to pass on skills.

The purpose of "meviy for education" is to develop the future leaders of the manufacturing industry and is open to educational institutions (school corporations) that foster a relentless pursuit of manufacturing among students. The program will provide selected student groups with vouchers of worth up to 100,000 yen for purchasing parts via meviy. In addition, it offers a variety of support services tailored to educational institutions, including a special lecture on meviy. “meviy for education” was newly launched in 2023*, and due to its popularity, we are running it again this year. meviy is a parts procurement platform where AI technology not only detects non-manufacturable components based on uploaded design data, but also provides suggestions for design improvements. meviy provides users with a learning experience and can instantly confirm prices and delivery dates from the uploaded 3D data, allowing users to get a more hands-on feel for the process. With these advantages, meviy is used by about 30% of educational institutions in Japan, and through "meviy for education," where meviy is used as an educational tool, we contribute to develop the future leaders of the manufacturing industry.

Applicants must be a student group that is affiliated with a university, graduate school, junior college, vocational school, technical college, or high school in Japan. The applicant student group must have an administrator who is a faculty member affiliated with the school corporation.

Applicants must use 3D CAD to create their products.

Applicants must be a student group that are willing to participate in post-production reports, questionnaires, interviews, and surveys after we provide them with the parts.
