Code of Conduct
The Officers and Employees of MISUMI Group all shall understand the MISUMI Group Corporate Mission, and dedicate themselves to performing their required business activities fairly, respecting the applicable laws and regulations, as well as social rules. They furthermore shall have clear awareness and responsibility with regard to the following.
1. Customers
The Officers and Employees shall perform, in a fair manner, their duties to offer and deliver products and services of high originality of 'Short-Term & Just-in-Time', 'High Quality' and 'Low Cost'.
2. Suppliers and Vendors
The Officers and Employees shall perform, in a fair manner, their duties to make transactions reasonably in choice of purchasing products and services form the suppliers and vendors from the standpoints of safety, quality, price and delivery.
3. Officers and Employees
The Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates shall respect the human rights of the Officers and Employees and provide a safe and rewarding work-environment to them. The Officers and Employees shall take initiatives and co-operate with the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates in developing such work-environment.
4. Business Activities
The Officers and Employees shall dedicate themselves in performing required business activities in full compliance with the relevant laws and regulations, this Code, and the Company's policies and rules; and they are not allowed to abuse the delegated authorities. The Officers and Employees shall fully comply with the relevant policies of each relevant organization together with instructions of their supervisors and the management in usage and utilization of the Company's assets and attached data and information as leased by the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
5. Intellectual Property
The Officers and Employees shall protect and then properly maintain such intellectual property rights that the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates holds or are in a process to file and register.
6. Accounting and Managerial Finance Control
The Officers and Employees shall implement and perform, appropriately and in a timely manner, the accounting and managerial finance control processes in fully compliance with the relevant laws and regulations, this Code, and the Company's policies.
7. Shareholders and Investors
The Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates shall hold themselves accountable, appropriately and in a timely manner, for legally required disclosure processes and try to maximize the corporate values and bring about investment returns to the Shareholders. The Officers and Employees shall perform their duties to grow the corporate value.
8. Community
Each of the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates shall try to make its own business development with respect extended to its respective culture, business and social practices and history and to harmonize with its respective community. The Officers and Employees shall perform their duties, lawfully in integrity, to carry out their business activities and also seek its business free of environmental burden impacts. The Officers and Employees shall dis-communicate, nor dis-associate, with anti-social groups, and they shall never be responsive to unlawful or improper demands and requests by firmly negotiating with them.
9. Government Relation
While the Officers and Employees as well as the Company and its subsidiaries shall fully comply with the required and relevant laws and regulations, they are not allowed to take illegal or improper actions against the relevant governmental bodies, officials and servants in order to obtain business interests and gains.
10. Actual and/or Questionable Violations
The Officers and Employees shall report and escalate any actual or questionable violation or violative incident to their supervisors and the management appropriately and in a timely manner.
